StudentSoc for business
A tidier way to recruit student reps and work with societies than a WhatsApp group full of phone numbers. Clearly labelled, checked by us, and with students' details kept private.
Post a rep campaign: what reps do and what they earn. Students who are 18+ join from the rep board and add their own rep link from your ticketing site. You pay them directly, as you do now.
Offer a discount, group booking or sponsorship to societies. Committees who've opted in see it and can tell you they're interested.
Coming soon at York. We're talking to York SU first.
Labelled sponsor spots in the student app, booked with us directly.
Later.
You never see who's in a society, who's going to an event or who follows what. For reps you see their display name and the rep link they add, never their email. For society offers you see the club's name, its message, and its public email only if it chooses to share it.
Every campaign and offer carries a “Sponsored · Ad · via your business” label that can't be removed. Reps are reminded to label their own posts #ad.
The rep board is for students who've told us they're 18 or over. Nightlife and drinks-brand offers only reach committee members who are 18+. Most students declare their own age, so you're still responsible for checking your reps' ages before you pay them.
Your business, every campaign and every offer are reviewed by our team before anything goes live. You can pause or end things yourself at any time.
Reps sell through your own rep links (Fatsoma, your box office and so on), and you pay them. There's nothing to pay us for reps or offers right now.
Full details are in our advertising policy.
Tell us who you are. We check every business by hand. If we approve you, we'll set up your organisation and email an invite to the address you give us. Business accounts are separate from student accounts and never see student-only pages.
